Southeast Primary Care Partners Continues Alabama Expansion, Welcoming Keel & Associates

Primary Care-Focused Medical Group Continues to Improve Access to High-Quality Healthcare in the Southeast

Alpharetta, GA –October 6, 2023– Southeast Primary Care Partners (SPCP), a primary care-focused medical group dedicated to achieving true value-based care everywhere, today announced a new practice partnership with Keel & Associates. Led by Dr. Edwin Keel, M.D., the family medicine and urgent care provider serves Oxford and Anniston, Alabama, and is dedicated to the health and well-being of the communities’ residents. Dr. Keel founded Keel & Associates in 1998 and provides traditional family medicine and urgent care services in addition to on-site lab and X-ray services for fast, accurate diagnosis and treatment.

Partnering with SPCP enables Keel & Associates to maintain its clinical independence while benefiting from shared resources, innovation and a collaborative environment dedicated to exceptional patient care. The cutting-edge processes, tools, and technology offered by SPCP help to ease administrative burdens and allow for a greater focus on patients. Dr. Keel and Dr. Trey Emerson will continue to serve patients under the Keel & Associates name at 1612 US-87 Oxford, AL 36203 – and new patients are welcomed!

“Dr. Keel and Dr. Emerson have built a remarkable reputation by providing top-notch healthcare and enhancing accessibility for patients in Oxford and Anniston,” said Eric Lisle, CEO, president, and co-founder, Southeast Primary Care Partners. “We are happy to welcome them into the SPCP family of practices, allowing them to extend their exceptional care and services to an even larger patient base. Our efforts to empower physicians in Alabama continue, and we look forward to working with Dr. Keel, Dr. Emerson, and others throughout Alabama to provide high-quality healthcare to their communities.”

SPCP understands the unique and constantly evolving challenges facing independent practices and is focused on providing its partners with the expertise and support needed to not only grow but thrive. SPCP relieves the administrative burden of isolated practice ownership by providing various clinical and management support to its partner practices.

"We are excited to be part of the growing Southeast Primary Care Partners community,” said Dr. Edwin Keel, M.D. at Keel & Associates. “Since opening our doors in 1998, we have been treating patients in Oxford, Alabama and by partnering with SPCP we will be able to offer care to more members of our community. We look forward to working with SPCP to improve access to primary care services throughout Alabama.”
